MIDLAND's standard dual label probe is labeled at the 5'-end with a fluorophore (6-FAM, TET, HEX or similar). The 3'-end is labeled with the TAMRA Quencher, (Black Hole Quenchers are available; call or e-mail for prices) which serves as both the quencher and blocker of chain extension during PCR.
MIDLAND's dual-labeled probes are routinely manufactured in a 200 nanomole or 1 micromole scale. A 10 micromole scale is also available; call or e-mail us for prices. Both probe length and composition determine the quantity of the delivered probe. Dual label probes are routinely shipped within 5-7 days from the initial order.
